As part of the SAFIA x Palace Nova advance screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2, SAFIA is inviting South Australian designers to participate in a Designer Showcase installation in the Palace Nova Eastend lobby.

Selected designers will present garments or accessories as part of the red carpet arrival experience before the screening. This showcase will highlight the creativity, craftsmanship, and diversity of the South Australian fashion sector.

Designers may present garments, accessories, millinery, jewellery, or wearable design.

Terms & Conditions:

By submitting an Expression of Interest, applicants acknowledge and agree to the following:

Eligibility

• The showcase is open to South Australian fashion designers and brands, including emerging and established practitioners.
• Applicants should be based in South Australia or demonstrate a clear connection to the South Australian fashion industry.

Selection Process

• Participation will be determined through a curated selection process managed by SAFIA.
• Selection will consider quality of design, suitability for display, and representation of the South Australian fashion sector.
• Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee selection.
• SAFIA reserves the right to determine final participants at its discretion.

Display Format

• Selected designers will present a small number of garments or accessories within the Palace Nova Eastend lobby prior to the screening.
• Final display arrangements will be determined by SAFIA based on space, logistics, and venue requirements.
• Designers may be asked to adapt their display to suit the venue or safety requirements.

Installation and Collection

• Designers will be responsible for delivering their pieces to the venue at the agreed installation time.
• Designers must collect their items at the conclusion of the event.
• Detailed installation and collection times will be communicated to selected participants.
• All items must be clearly labelled and appropriately prepared for display.

Insurance and Liability

• While SAFIA will take reasonable care in handling items, designers participate at their own risk.
• SAFIA and Palace Nova Cinemas are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to garments or accessories.
• Designers are responsible for arranging their own insurance if required.

Sales

• The showcase is a display and promotional activation rather than a retail event.
• Direct sales within the cinema lobby are not permitted unless approved by SAFIA.
• Designers may provide business cards or brand information for guests interested in their work.

Photography and Media

• The event may be photographed or filmed for promotional and media purposes.
• Designers consent to images of their work being used by SAFIA in communications, media coverage, and social media.
• Designers will be credited where possible.

Conduct

• Participants are expected to act professionally and respectfully toward venue staff, SAFIA representatives, and fellow designers.
• SAFIA reserves the right to withdraw participation if conduct is deemed inappropriate.

Event Changes

• SAFIA reserves the right to adjust event details, display arrangements, or scheduling if required.

Acceptance

• Submission of an Expression of Interest confirms that the applicant has read and agrees to these terms and conditions.
